Pursue Excellence

Alfa Romeo began its journey in Milan, Italy, on June 24, 1910, originally named A.L.F.A. — Anonima Lombarda Fabbrica Automobili. The company was born from the remains of a struggling French carmaker’s Italian branch and quickly set out to build vehicles tailored to Italian drivers. Its first car, the 24 HP, debuted that same year and even entered the Targa Florio race in 1911.

In 1915, Neapolitan engineer Nicola Romeo took control, steering the company into wartime production. After World War I, car manufacturing resumed, and in 1920 the brand officially became Alfa Romeo. From the start, it blended performance, style, and racing ambition — a legacy that still fuels its reputation today.
